In case you haven't heard, Rhonda has been declared cancer free by her oncologist!!!

Thank you to all the friends and family who have expressed their concern, support, and encouragement. Praise the Lord that Rhonda's tumor was found early. The process of diagnosis and planning treatment went quickly in March, and recovery from surgery progressed smoothly across April. The four months of chemotherapy ended in mid-September. Now, on to recovery from the chemo. The doctor says it may take up to six months for Rhonda to regain her physical strength, so please keep praying!

Saturday - Strength Conditioning Day 4

Happy Fourth of July to everyone.  I was carried away with festive feelings today and decided to do my stamina training at the grocery store.  On a holiday.  What was I thinking???  I made it about half way through Kroger and realized I wasn't going to make it home on my own.  The cavalry, David and Kevin, had to come rescue me.  It was pretty depressing to realize I'm so out of shape I can't buy groceries alone!!  Between the three of us we finished shopping and I sat while they loaded it in the car and then Kevin drove me home.  I think walking to the end of the street and back is a safer plan for the rest of the week.

My dad comes home from Methodist tomorrow after his knee replacement surgery.  He's doing well and  the doctor is pleased with how the knee is coming along.  Thanks for the prayers on his and my mom's behalf.

  1. Baby steps! You'll get there. You just can't do it all at once. I wasn't sure I would make it through Krogers yesterday!
